A Free Hybrid!
It’s no secret that times are tight, and you being the stalwart environmentalist you are probably wish you had the extra cash to invest in a slick piece of green technology. Well, have no fear because I have compiled a list of contests where you can win a hybrid SUV or car. Because what’s better than driving a hybrid? Driving a hybrid for free! Register for your chance to win now, as some of these end shortly.
- Opinion Direct. Opinion Direct is a website where you sign up to take surveys about your likes, dislikes and shopping habits. Right now, they are running a contest where if you sign up, you could win one of three hybrid SUVs: a Lexus RX 400h, Toyota Highlander hybrid or a Ford Escape hybrid. Winners can also choose to take a $50,000 cash prize over the SUVs. The contest runs through December 31, 2008.
- TXU Energy. If you live in Texas, this sweepstakes could have you driving off in a 2009 Chevy Tahoe hybrid. This contest runs through November 5, 2008. Weekly winners for smaller prizes, like bundles of energy-saving light blubs, are also drawn.
- Charter cable. Charter, a Midwest cable, internet and phone provider, is giving away a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid and you don’t have to purchase anything to win! Hurry, though – this one ends on Halloween 2008.
- Dancing for Toyotas. Can you bust a move? If so, you should make a video of your sublime dancing prowess and submit it by November 4, 2008 for a chance to dance for a Toyota at the 2009 Washington, D.C. Car show. Winners will get either a Camry hybrid or the popular Prius.
- Tom’s of Maine. If you are more of a storyteller than a dancer, here is another chance to make a video and win a hybrid. Your video should be about a person who has been dedicated to preserving local water sources, especially rivers. If your story wins, you’ll get a 2009 Toyota Prius. The deadline for this contest is October 31, 2008.
- Pick and Drive. Correctly guess the top 3 men’s finishers (in order) for the Sunday, November 2nd ING New York City Marathon and you will be in a drawing for a new Prius from Toyota. For a second chance, pick the top 3 women’s finishers…yes, they are giving away another Prius! Why not win ‘em both!

My daughter bought a Toyota Hybrid Hylander a couple of years ago and it is the Best Car On the road today. I am low income and cannot afford a new car. I am driving a 1996 Chrysler and do not have enough income to buy a new car. However, if I did have the money, I would not go anywhere else than to a Toyota Dealer and buy me a Highlander Hybrid. It is totally a waste of time to shop for any other car except a Toyota Hylander Hybrid. This car has plenty of room, saves money on gas, and is good for the enviroment. No other car can complete with the Toyota. So, if you are looking for a new car, save time, buy a Toyota Hybrid Hylander. (NO I DO NOT WORK FOR TOYOTA OR ANY OTHER CAR COMPANY). I am 71 and on very low income, otherwise I would have one of these cars!!!!!
