It wasn’t too long ago that we brought you news of the Lexus RX400h, the iconic luxury brands first foray into hybrid SUVs that has been in production since 2005. Well, five years in and the automaker has redesigned the SUV and the RX400h’s newest update –  the RX450h - was originally unveiled at the November L.A. Auto Show and getting more buzz at last week in Detroit.

The new 2008 Lexus RX 400h is arguably the most luxurious SUV on the market, and is undoubtably the top luxury hybrid vehicle to date. Available in a front-wheel drive version (Base MSRP - $41,180) as well as an all-wheel drive (Base MSRP - $42,580), this hybrid suv is built for performance.  With its 3.3 liter, dohc 24v V6 engine - the 400h churns out 268 horsepower.
